As an ACE (American
Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer, Sherri
trains clients at San Diego Premier Training, a private,
state-of-the-art studio in La Costa, as well as at
private residences and parks. Her specialty, as her
company name implies (Fitness Over 40) is in working
with baby boomers and beyond. She has recent
experience working in six physical therapy offices as
well as a skilled nursing facility. She also worked
briefly with patients in cardiac rehab. This combined
with five years managing a tennis club and ten years
working as an elementary computer teacher has given her
a unique set of skills and patience to help clients
achieve their goals.
To maintain her
certification and to stay up-to-date on the latest
health and fitness developments, she attends several
continuing education courses each year and keeps current
with CPR and AED.
Sherri is originally from
Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended Michigan State
University. She has lived in California for the past 25
years. 12 years ago she moved from Agoura Hills near
L.A., to Encinitas and now lives in La Costa. With two
grown children, Sherri has time to devote to her passion
for helping others get and stay fit.
An avid tennis player and
skier, Sherri has been interested in fitness and
nutrition all of her life. She has also been doing mat
Pilates and yoga for 10 years. Having recovered from
numerous sports-related injuries and surgeries, she
realizes the importance of combining functional strength
training with core integration and a cardio workout.
She is happy to report since beginning her career as a
Personal Trainer she has remained injury free and has
more energy than she did in her 30’s! Now she is
focused on helping others achieve similar life habits
and similar results! Give her a call, now to set up a
